Should a student from the passion class be asked to look at themselves.

1) Yes and No. This could be considered an invasion of privacy. Many students don't want to answer questions about themselves, they might feel intimated and withdraw from people.  Some might consider this an assault on them and their character.  Although, if the student feels recluse, it can be hard to open up.  Sometimes looking at yourself can be beneficial.  Maybe the very thing we do not want to see might help us get over the things that gives them pain.  It can be a positive outcome.  This is a very delicate question to answer.

2) No. Not everyone is comfortable looking at themselves. People sometimes don't like what they see in the mirror and don't want to face the realities of their mistakes in life.  Many people cannot forgive themselves for the wrongs that they have caused other people.

3) Yes. Having someone look at themselves can be very helpful at times if the person is willing to be honest with themselves.  Looking at your faults can be very enlightening to help someone change their  attitudes and the way they are living their lives.  Looking at the direction your life is leading can change someone to redirect their thought process and their daily living.  Not everyone is is willing to look at themselves in the mirror due to the fact that they do not like what they see in the mirror.  Looking at your self can also be beneficial to see the direction that your life is going.  Many people change their behaviors and way of life that is positive and looking at the changes and directions they are going can improve their lives with renewed assurance that they are  doing the right thing.
